WWE DVD Wish List...
Nugget Feature: DVDs That I Wish The WWE Would Produce
Like a lot of WWE fans i recently bought the dvd set on Chris Jericho, Breaking The Code, as always the WWE produced a highly polished and excellently put together dvd.
This release caused a number of discussions on the good old Twitter website. One question bought up by, a huge wrestling fan and regular tweeter of interesting stuff, Jason Mann, who tweets as @wrestlespective, asked what other wrestlers, promotions or events you'd like to see featured on their own dvd (or blu ray for all you high rollers!) set?
This got me thinking, and as i thought up quite a few i've gone and listed the top 10 dvds i want...

"They" Rule!!!
Nugget Commentary:
Of course i'm not talking about "They" who showed up in TNA last night.
I'm talking about these guys...

So, There Was A Pay Per View Last Night...
Featured Nugget - Future Endeavors Radio - 10 10 10 (Bound For Glory Recap)
so yeah, TNA Wrestling held a ppv last night, their biggest of the year apparently. It did have a couple of big selling points going for it, one was a new TNA Champion was going to be crowned and second, after months and months of going on about them, the "They" who Abyss was talking about were finally gonna show up...
Even with that, i didn't bother to order the show. I watched HBO instead, (Boardwalk Empire, Bored To Death and Eastbound & Down are quality tv) but my friends over at 'Future Endeavors' podcast were there to fill me in on all the ins and out and happenings from the event and any other wrestling news in general. Give it a listen below...

It's All About The Game! (And How You Play It) Part 2
Video Games: The Sort of History of Wrestling Video Games...Part 2
So here we are onto the second part of my rundown of wrestling game memories, after ending the last section with the Nintendo 64's 'No Mercy' reigning as my favorite. Can it go on to the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be as far as wrestling video games go???
First up as its next challenger is the Playstation 2's first WWF game, and the third Smackdown game in the series, 'Smackdown!: Just Bring It'...

It's All About The Game!
Video Games: The History of Wrestling Video Games (well sort of) Part 1
it's that time of year again as the days get colder and the nights get darker, a good reason to stay warm and indoors arrives in the way of the yearly WWE Smackdown vs. Raw video game update. Now seeing as i'm a huge fan of both wrestling and video games this is a pretty exciting time for me and with this years game receiving such huge amounts of hype before its release it got me in the mood to think back on my memories of wrestling video games from days gone by.
While this article isn't meant to be a full indepth look back at the complete history of wrestling video games, i'm gonna say a little something about all those that i have had the pleasure (or misfortune in some cases, ahem, Legends Of Wrestling' ahem) of playing and can remember of course.
What better place to begin the lil trip down memory lane then at the start! So lets hop into the Delorean and travel back to my earliest wrestling game memories, original Nintendo Entertainment System here we come!...

Forgotten Classics In Wrestling History
Forgotten Classics In Wrestling History Entry 3
The Hardcore Edition - WrestleMania X-Seven Hardcore Championship
with the way the WWE treated its hardcore title, you could be forgiven for just thinking of it as a meaningless, joke of a championship. Because of that it's easy to forget that the 'joke' title actually had some very enjoyable title defenses in its history.
One such match was the underrated and often forgotten about triple threat battle between Hardcore Champion Raven, the Big Show & Kane from WrestleMania 17.
Check out the match below...

Embarrassing Moments In Sports Entertainment - Entry 1
much like the awesome website known as Wrestlecrap this series is designed to highlight the not so great things that have happened in the wonderful world of professional wrestling. There's been a few, so this could be a long running series, we'll just have to see how depressed the entries make me while i'm writing them!
Entry number one in the series is a big reason why the WWE no longer has competition from a company based in Atlanta, Georgia. Of course i'm talking about...
David Arquette winning the WCW Heavyweight championship. :(

Video: Hulkamania is still running wild!!!
on last nights Eastbound & Down, Kenny Powers made his debut in the Mexican baseball league and what better way to introduce himself to all his new fans then by having 'Real American' as his entrance theme??? Hilarity! :)
Video does contain some adult language though, so get them earmuffs ready if you're watching with little 'uns.
The second season of Eastbound & Down is currently on Sunday nights on HBO, it is brilliant.
Forgotten Classics In Wrestling History
Forgotten Classics In Wrestling History - Entry #1
Wrestling fans have had to put up with alot over the years, for every classic Shockmaster type debut we've had to put with hundreds of matches featuring Buff Bagwell. Never the less there are many many highlights in the history of wrestling and while WWE does a good job reliving some of these moments with its WWE Classics 24/7 service some gems still do slip through the cracks... That is where this feature of the Wrestling Nuggets website comes in, it is here to bring the spotlight back to those little known or forgotten times that would otherwise be gone forever.

Best DVD Eeeeeeeever???
DVD Review: Breaking The Code: Behind The Walls Of Chris Jericho
So finally after an almost 20 year career in wrestling and about a 10 year association with World Wrestling Entertainment, the WWE has released a dvd on man you may know as 'Your Role Model', 'The King of the World', 'The Ayatollah of Rock 'n' Rolla', 'The Man of 1004 Holds', 'The Best In The World At What He Does', 'Lionheart', 'Y2J'... Jack Action ahem, i mean Chris Jericho.
The beards, the hairstyles, the awful shiny shirts, its all here. But is it the best dvd in the world of dvd's? Ever?...

John Cena Stars In A Movie Called 'Legendary'??? Who Knew?!
Nugget Commentary: WWE Raw Review
okay so first up, go on, rush yourselves off to Walmart and pick up that new John Cena movie. You probably didn't have to time to actually check out in the movie theaters, (and even if you had time you probably couldn't find a place showing it) but worry not its available to buy right now! :)
So yeah, now you know John Cena is in a movie called 'Legendary', you can pick up the dvd now. I'm just telling you this cause i don't think the WWE has really tried to promote it all that much...oh wait...
