Power Poll

Nuggets Features: Power Poll - 11/18/10

The Power Poll, which for those of you that may not know is a weekly Top 10 ranking of wrestlers as voted by a bunch of wrestling websites, is back (and also has a brand new home.)

Was last weeks leader, Wade Barrett, able to hang on to the top spot? (and in doing so, be able to keep that smug look on his face.)

Check this weeks rankings below, with last weeks rankings in brackets, and see how Wrestling Nuggets voted a little bit further down...

Wrestling At The Movies!

Featured Nugget - Wrestling At The Movies #2

comparing wrestlers to movies (just because...)

With this week seeing the release of the potential Oscar nominee 'Knucklehead' featuring the Big Show what better time to bring back Wrestling Nugget's 'Wrestling At The Movies' series???
This series is not a look back at all the films produced by the WWE or featuring wrestlers, as classic as all those films turned out to be.
Instead this is a comparison between a wrestler and a particular film or series of films.
If you haven't seen the first entry in the series featuring Mick Foley, The Ultimate Warrior, Brock Lesnar and more, click here and go see: 'Wrestling At The Movies #1'
With that 'Upcoming Attractions' like intro out of the way here's entry #2 of...

Power Poll

Featured Nugget: Power Poll - Wrestlespective's Weekly Top 10 Ranking of Wrestlers 11/3/10

Is the World Heavyweight Champion still sitting pretty atop the power poll this week or will a new entry make a big splash on the chart?...
(check after the jump to see how Wrestling Nuggets voted this week, and no i didn't vote 'Linda' either! haha, see what i did there? Topical, nice!)

whoops, wrong gimmicks! :/

Best Themes Ever!

Featured Nugget: Best Themes Ever: The Top 25 Entrance Themes In Wrestling.

There have been few musical masterpieces coming from the wrestling world over the years but one place that song and wrestling can really combine to maximum effect is during a wrestlers entrance. The right choice of song can add something extra to a character, help create a mood or force an emotional response, music can psych you up or freak you out, tunes can become iconic. Entrance themes play a really important part in wrestling.
I used all the above criteria when compiling my list of favorite themes, each one i felt offered that little something special...
either that or i just like the lyrics...

Here is my list of what i consider the Top 25 Entrance Themes In Wrestling...The Best Themes Ever.
And yeah, there is more than 25 songs linked (i linked other remixes, or songs influenced by or similar to those on the list) but i don't care it's my list, deal with it, and with the amount i added i guess i shoulda just gone and made the top 50! Oh well! :)

okay so first up, go on, rush yourselves off to Walmart and pick up that new John Cena movie. You probably didn't have to time to actually check out in the movie theaters, (and even if you had time you probably couldn't find a place showing it) but worry not its available to buy right now! :)
So yeah, now you know John Cena is in a movie called 'Legendary', you can pick up the dvd now. I'm just telling you this cause i don't think the WWE has really tried to promote it all that much...oh wait...
