Very first inductee:
He might not have been a nugget himself but he's the very first inductee in the Wrestling Nuggets 'Hall Of Fame'...
Owen Hart
Owen Hart not only inspired the name of this blog but was also one helluva wrestler. A great technician and high flyer, Owen also bought a great sense of humor into the ring with him.
Owen was involved in great feuds against superstars like his older brother Bret 'The Hitma' Hart, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels.
A multi time champion in the World Wrestling Federation, Owen held the European and Intercontinental titles. He was crowned the 1994 King Of The Ring and was a multiple 'Slammy' award winner (sort of).
Owen was also part of championship winning tag teams alongside Jeff Jarrett, Yokozuna & the 'British Bulldog' Davey Boy Smith,
as well being involved in not so successful tag teams with Koko B. Ware in 'High Energy' & Jim 'The Anvil' Neidhart in 'The New Foundation'.
Owen tweaked his persona through out his career but whether he was a good guy, a heel or even a superhero he would always put on entertaining performances and was a highlight of many shows.
Owen Hart tragically died after accidentally falling from rafters due equipment malfunction during his entrance on a WWF pay per view on May 23rd 1999.
He is dearly missed.
RIP Owen Hart
