Wrestling At The Movies!

Featured Nugget - Wrestling At The Movies #2
comparing wrestlers to movies (just because...)
With this week seeing the release of the potential Oscar nominee 'Knucklehead' featuring the Big Show what better time to bring back Wrestling Nugget's 'Wrestling At The Movies' series???
This series is not a look back at all the films produced by the WWE or featuring wrestlers, as classic as all those films turned out to be.
Instead this is a comparison between a wrestler and a particular film or series of films.
If you haven't seen the first entry in the series featuring Mick Foley, The Ultimate Warrior, Brock Lesnar and more, click here and go see: 'Wrestling At The Movies #1'
With that 'Upcoming Attractions' like intro out of the way here's entry #2 of...

Best Themes Ever!

Featured Nugget: Best Themes Ever: The Top 25 Entrance Themes In Wrestling.

There have been few musical masterpieces coming from the wrestling world over the years but one place that song and wrestling can really combine to maximum effect is during a wrestlers entrance. The right choice of song can add something extra to a character, help create a mood or force an emotional response, music can psych you up or freak you out, tunes can become iconic. Entrance themes play a really important part in wrestling.
I used all the above criteria when compiling my list of favorite themes, each one i felt offered that little something special...
either that or i just like the lyrics...

Here is my list of what i consider the Top 25 Entrance Themes In Wrestling...The Best Themes Ever.
And yeah, there is more than 25 songs linked (i linked other remixes, or songs influenced by or similar to those on the list) but i don't care it's my list, deal with it, and with the amount i added i guess i shoulda just gone and made the top 50! Oh well! :)

Best. Survivor Series. Ever!

Featured Nugget: Best. Survivor Series. Ever! - Dream Matches

With WWE's Survivor Series 2010 just a few weeks away and the main event already announced for the event, it got me thinking about what else might end up on the card...
A potential Survivor Series 2010 card may look like:
WWE Championship Match:
Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett with John Cena as Special Referee

World Championship Match:
Kane vs. Edge

United States Championship Match:
Daniel Bryan vs. CM Punk

Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Matches:
The Nexus (David Otunga, Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater, Husky Harris & Michael McGillicutty) vs. Team WWE (???)

Team Miz (The Miz, Alex Riley, Ezekial Jackson, Alberto Del Rio...) vs. Team Mysterio (Rey Mysterio, R-Truth, John Morrison...)

Team Sheamus (Sheamus...) vs. Team Big Show (Big Show, Santino...)

These possible match ups got me thinking about dream matches that could be made, using any WWF/WWE superstars since the Survivor Series began. I limited myself to picking only wrestlers who have worked in the WWF/WWE and tried to limit each wrestler to 1 match each (apart from with the ultimate 'Good Guys' vs. Bad Guys' at the end. I've tried to give each team a name as well, like they used to have in the good old days but unfortunately my team names aren't as cool as the classics.
That's enough talk about that, here's my matches:

Best DVD Eeeeeeeever???

DVD Review: Breaking The Code: Behind The Walls Of Chris Jericho

So finally after an almost 20 year career in wrestling and about a 10 year association with World Wrestling Entertainment, the WWE has released a dvd on man you may know as 'Your Role Model', 'The King of the World', 'The Ayatollah of Rock 'n' Rolla', 'The Man of 1004 Holds', 'The Best In The World At What He Does', 'Lionheart', 'Y2J'... Jack Action ahem, i mean Chris Jericho.

The beards, the hairstyles, the awful shiny shirts, its all here. But is it the best dvd in the world of dvd's? Ever?...
